COPPER PLATING
Copper plating is commonly used throughout the offshore – oil and gas industry as a solution to galling problems on stainless steel couplings and threads. The formula includes high concentration of pure copper flakes aided by special carriers and inhibitors. This combination will protect, lubricate, prevent seizing and resists galling.

Nickel Plating
Nickel plating is the process of electrolytically depositing a layer of nickel onto a substrate. These nickel deposits are used for:
- Wear resistance
- Corrosion resistance
- Hardness
- Lubricity
- Magnetic purposes
Nickel used for engineering purposes is often smooth and dull gray in appearance. Both bright and matte nickel offers an excellent degree of corrosion resistance. Nickel is also used as an under-plate for other metals because it acts as a diffusion barrier that prevents any form of substrate migration to the top coating.
Zinc Plating With PASSIVATION
Zinc plating is the deposition of zinc from an aqueous solution (electrolyte) of salts using direct current. Electrolytic zinc provides an excellent corrosion resistance.
For better corrosion resistance the zinc layer is passivated. This can be in the color blue, yellow, green or black, depending on the application.
